About the Role

We're seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for our client Sojeti. This remote position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge AWS services while contributing to impactful solutions in a dynamic environment.

As a key member of the cloud team, you'll architect AWS solutions that balance performance, security, and cost-efficiency while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and deploy secure, high-availability AWS architectures following Well-Architected Framework principles
• Implement serverless solutions using Lambda, API Gateway, and event-driven services (SQS/SNS)
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Optimize cloud spend while maintaining performance and reliability standards
• Establish monitoring systems with CloudWatch and implement proactive alerting
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct security audits and implement compliance controls
• Document architectures and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams

• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance standards
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical discussions
