About the Role

This opportunity is ideal for recent graduates and early-career software engineers looking to grow their careers with modern technologies and meaningful projects. The selected candidate will join Equifax's high-performing engineering team and contribute to software solutions that make a real-world impact.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and documenting technical requirements for small to medium-sized systems or modules.
  • Following software engineering best practices and collaborating within Agile development teams.
  • Working on serverless, cloud-native architectures and integrating microservices with enterprise platforms.
  • Contributing to roadmap discussions, providing input during code reviews, and optimizing system performance.
  • Participating in cross-functional engineering initiatives and implementing automation where possible.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in Java software development.
  • Hands-on exposure to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with UI technologies including HTML, JavaScript, Angular, and Bootstrap.
  • Experience with backend technologies like Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
  • Working knowledge of Git, Maven/Gradle, JIRA, Confluence, and relational databases such as SQL Server or MySQL.
  • Experience in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of testing tools like JUnit, Selenium, LoadRunner, and SoapUI.
  • Familiarity with software design patterns and secure coding practices.
  • Exposure to modern Java versions (JDK 1.7+ preferred).
