Job Overview

Mastercard is inviting skilled software engineers to join its rapidly growing Priceless Platform team in Pune. This platform, initially developed by a Silicon Valley startup and later acquired by Mastercard, powers premium digital services for banks and businesses around the world. The team is now expanding and looking for passionate developers experienced in AWS cloud infrastructure and scalable distributed systems.

The role demands hands-on expertise in building, maintaining, and scaling cloud-native applications using a microservices-based architecture. Candidates will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to develop new platform features, improve infrastructure performance, and build automation tools to streamline operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop highly scalable software services and microservices on AWS.
• Participate in system architecture, code reviews, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with international engineering teams on new feature development and infrastructure optimization.
• Develop automation scripts and testing frameworks to improve platform reliability.
• Ensure secure, high-performance, and cost-efficient cloud solutions in compliance with security guidelines.
• Continuously monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.

Required Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software development roles.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, and S3.
• Proficiency in two or more of the following: PHP, Python, React, Golang, or Java.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and event-driven microservices.
• Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and system troubleshooting abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multi-region deployments and distributed databases.
• Knowledge of serverless application development and in-memory caching solutions.
• Exposure to DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Prior experience in SRE, platform reliability, and observability practices.
